5-5 Luck & Chance

Description

When Lendi broke her leg the family attributed it to not doing a wanbel meal with us. It was asked in the context of talking for a while about luck and chance. I asked about that and if it was bad luck or not. Alus seemed to switch wholly into the abagam bili vocabulary and luck didn't come over.

(lendi broke her leg, their own bad thinking was that their mum and dad hadn't done a wanbel, they didn't say they were wanbel to the white ladies and so lendi walked about and broke her leg, so he said that. So you guys think if you're not wanbel you'll get a hevi? If we have musu pinot then we'll get a hevi, a broken leg or sickness. If we're wanbel we'll walk around good without sickness or breaking a leg. Is that Luck or not? If mum and dad have bad thinking and we go around we think the kids will get a hevi. If we say sorry things will get better, that's what we do and that's our thinking.)
