Description
Kovol has three Dialects. Slipim, koβol ("matat" - crooked) is spoken in Evesil and Torokum, Sanapim, ʔoβol ("imɛngis" - straight) is spoken in Kokoma, Elilim and Pusilai and Kobumbua has their own dialect. Slipim is closer to Pal than Sanapim. Kobumbua's Dialects seems to be a mix of the two.
Interpretation
Kobumbua borders sanapim dialect and also Porosa village in Pal. This might explain the mix of the two dialects despite them being far away from slipim speakers in Kovol. Both main groups seem to think that their dialect is the correct one, but there's enough inter marriage between them that family ties don't allow them to openly look down on the other dialect.
