Description
Hiked down to the river with Kavaluku. He had borrowed one of our tarps to make a sandil at the work site. They had built a bamboo aqueduct to move water to the washing site. The young men hammered the saksak. Kavaluku, Was and Kukuas squeezed the saksak pulp in a basket so the starch fell into a limbum leaf.
Interpretation
Kavaluku is 'man bilong saksak', but our Kokoma guys don't seem as familiar with the process. They have saksak trees though.
