When Lendi broke her leg the family attributed it to not doing a wanbel meal with us. It was asked in the context of talking for a while about luck and chance. I asked about that and if it was bad luck or not. Alus seemed to switch wholly into the abagam bili vocabulary and luck didn't come over....

Yagil's young pig died of sickness in the night. His teenager dug a hole to bury it in. The kids wouldn't touch the dead pig, and used leaves to handle it without actually touching it themselves. Yagil gave me a text explaining that they don't eat pigs that die of sickness....
